Luxury self-catering accommodation for: family holidays, short breaks, mid-week breaks, weekend breaks , last minute breaks or group bookings such as wedding guest accommodation or hen do’s.
The Lodge is the largest of our luxury self-catering cottages and was newly constructed in 2013. This very light and comfortable accommodation offers 3 king-size beds, or 2 single beds are available in each room. The master bedroom features a luxury en-suite shower room plus a smart television.
This is our only apartment that contains a family bathroom plus an en-suite.
The Lodge features a large open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area, to seat 8. The accommodation offers a well-equipped modern kitchen, smart television with DVD player, CD Radio, free Wi-Fi, large sofa with integrated king-size sofa bed. Access to the apartment is either by 3 steps or using a gently sloped pathway with handrail that would be suitable for wheel chair access. Adjacent to the apartment is a small garden laid to lawn, with garden furniture, ideal for outside eating, weather permitting.

We had a lovely week here, the cottages were lovely and clean and had everything you need. Jo and Steve were really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Would recommend staying here, we have booked to come back next year can't wait.

Stayed at this fantastic property for 2 days at the end of April. Great venue for short breaks, or longer family holidays, as extremely comfortable in a wonderfully contemporary way. Chichester is only a short drive away and within 30 min of beautiful West Wittering beach and Chichester Marina. I would definitely recommend staying here again.
"The Ideal Base"
We booked into Flintstone Cottages for a few days in the run up to our wedding in Chichester back in February. We had not stayed there before - but we couldn't have found a more perfect base! The Lodge was clean, comfortable and incredibly spacious - which was ideal for us, with all our boxes of wedding paraphernalia! The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful and ideal for long walks. The owner, Jo, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. With Jo's agreement, we'd arranged for a number of our wedding suppliers to deliver directly to us at the property - and this made the build up to the wedding so much smoother than it would otherwise have been. Our only regret is that we didn't have an opportunity to fully relax and enjoy The Lodge - but we very much hope to be able to return next year to do just that! Whether you're looking for a base near Chichester as we were, or just somewhere peaceful to escape to for a while, we cannot recommend The Lodge more highly.
"Nicely appointed"
We booked The Lodge for ourselves, our daughter her partner and toddler for a few days while we were over from the US visiting family. The third bedroom let us invite my brother and his wife to join us. The apartment was great for our purposes; the three bedrooms were more than adequate and there is lots of common space. The kitchen and dining space and facilities were great too -- we ordered take-out from a good local Indian the first night, and cooked the others. Everything we needed was there.
"Beautiful property"
We chose Flintstone Cottages as my daughter was getting married at Upwaltham Barns nearby. We booked both the Lodge and the Garden Room (see separate review). They were both lovely properties, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The Lodge is light and airy, with a huge living area and a good kitchen. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed the walk-in showers. There was plenty of parking. It's quiet and off the beaten track, but with a petrol station and shop within a few minutes' drive. The owner was very helpful throughout the booking process and during the stay.
"Relaxing weekend at The Lodge and The Cottage"
We stayed at The Lodge and The Cottage with a group of 13 for a nearby wedding. We were looking for a hassle-free base to relax between wedding festivities and this place was perfect! Jo met us when we arrived and showed us round the grounds including golf putting green, shared BBQ area and private outdoor dining areas for both cottages. The cottages were very clean, modern and well appointed for cooking for everyone we had staying with us. Jo was helpful throughout the weekend and the security deposit was returned promptly without any issues. Highly recommended!
"Clean, organised and easy"
Had a great stay at Flintstone Cottages. Everything you need is available in the accommodation and if you need anything extra you just have to ask. We particularly enjoyed the gas and coal barbecues. The linen was fresh and of good quality. The accommodation was well organised and clean. A great base for exploring, Arundel, Littlehampton and Chichester.

"Flexible and very well equipped"
We booked the Lodge and 3 other properties at Flintstones for ourselves, family, and friends as accommodation for our daughter's wedding which was taking place at Upwaltham Barns in the same locality. All of the properties at Flintstones are beautifully finished and very well equipped. The Lodge has 3 double bedrooms with the possibility of accommodating 2 more on a sofa bed in the lounge. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is en suite. We had 2 BBQ's in the grounds for out of town guests with approx. 40 people attending. There was ample space for our guests and their cars and Jo the owner and Steve her assistant could not have been more helpful. Flintstones offers first class self catering accommodation in a lovely area and I would not hesitate in recommending it.
"We had a great weekend"
The Lodge is a modern, well equipped, chalet style building. There are windows all along one side & we were lucky enough to have sun streaming in all 3 mornings we were there. The living area is open plan with the kitchen at one end and the lounge with big TV at the other. This worked well when food was being prepared as the person in the kitchen could join in with the chat. There was plenty to do in Chichester and at the coast during a long weekend. Jo was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly go back.
"Special birthday celebrated in style at this lovely property"
We hired The Lodge for my brothers birthday for a long weekend for our families and parents - so it needed to work for ages 4 months to 65 years!. The Lodge was a lovely modern house that lent itself well to our celebrations. The fantastic open plan space was perfect for us all to be together, with lots of room for the kids to play. The bedrooms are very comfortable - all with King size beds. Great bathrooms, both with rainforest showers. The Lodge was very clean and looked like new. I'd recommend this as a lovely place to stay!

A large group of us, including two small children recently stayed in the Lodge at Flintstone Cottages over a the weekend of my daughter's wedding at the nearby Upwaltham Barns. We found the lodge to be spacious, modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean.
"Fabulous holiday let"
We spent a week in the Lodge to explore the local area and visit family. The accommodation could not be faulted and included everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The style and decor is very tasteful and contemporary. The kitchen and bathrooms are finished to a high standard and the beds are large and very, very comfy. The accommodation is suitable for people with limited mobility and children alike and is in an idyllic setting at the end of a lane. A car is essential for exploring the surrounding area and is ideal for those who enjoy the countryside and want a break away from it all!
"Amazing Cottages - We rented them all for Wedding party"
My wedding party stayed at Flintstone Cottages in July 2015 The Cottages are immaculate and furnished well and the beds are really comfy! The Cottages are great if you have a large group because you are all together but in your individual cottages so you have so much space. The cottages are are spacious so we used the large cottage to set up our make up and hen stations for when we got ready. The Cottages are easy to find and just perfect really. I hope to go back again with friends for a weekend! The owners are lovely and so helpful. Perfect place for a large wedding party!
"Superb location and quality"
My extended family including the Australian contingent arrived for a special Easter break in 2014 . We were very pleased with the quality and location of this great group of cottages . Jo and her family have done a terrific job in restoring and building new cottages to suit all sizes of families So much in fact we are just about to book the same for late September 2015!

A really lovely holiday home. Our family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend whilst attending a family wedding nearby. It was very comfortable and very well kitted out. Good sized rooms and excellent bathrooms. Would happily stay here again. Highly recommended
"Contemporary, well equipped accommodation in a peaceful setting."
This was the best equipped self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in, everything about the lodge was so well thought out, along with lovely little touches like cleaning products, hand wash, tea coffee and sugar all being provided .The beds were super comfy and the two bathrooms were great. The view over open farmland was lovely (despite the weather not being great). There are many places to visit and things to do nearby. We had a lovely time and will visit again.
"Perfect place for all the family"
Absolutely lovely accommodation. Beautifully furnished and finished with lots of room and lovely bathrooms. We had a 9 month old crawling baby and it was ideal, very child friendly. Everything was supplied including travel cot and highchair- there was nothing missing. You do need a car but it is very close to Chichester and other places to visit. Thank you Jo for a lovely stay, highly recommended.
"Excellent new accommodation furnished to a high standard."
The lodge is the latest addition of holiday lets to be rented out by Flintstone cottage near Chichester. Top quality accommodation at a very reasonable price and an ideal base to explore Chichester and the surrounding area. Decor was of a very good standard with everything provided to ensure a good break was had by all. Many thanks to Jo for giving us the opportunity to rent such a nice property, we would recommend to anyone who wants a nice peaceful location as a base to explore west Sussex.
